OBAMA O8' The Campaign That Made History

History has been made. On November 4th Barack Hussein Obama became the first black elected President of the United States. Ever since the days of John F Kennedy, Americans were looking for a charming and Charismatic Leader simply for the purpose of having an attractive president. And being elected as president has been nothing more than a popularity contest. So on November 4th it was no surprise that the 47 year old Barack Obama won by a land slide over the 72 year old John McCain. I mean face it how many of us actually know what Obama is about, All he has revealed was he was against American troops being in Iraq,  lifting the income cap on Social Security taxes and eliminate the taxes for those senior citizens. But other than that Obama hasn’t really said much about his political agenda to help the United States through the recession. Don’t get me wrong Obama looks like he’ll be a great leader, but looks can be deceiving.  Oprah Winfrey praised his cause and need for a change, she could have just as easily commended Sarah Palin on Women power, and let’s face it when Oprah says something we know she knows what she’s talking about.

But there’s more. Obama advocates family values. Hooray for keeping our youth safe and staying religious. Oh wait a second, Obama used to be a coke and pot addict. And now even after promising his wife he would quit smoking before become elected as president, he is still smoking like a chimney. Speaking of broken promises, Obama has been breaking promises since before being in office. In august of 2006, Obama visited a school in Kenya to which he promised he would assist the school financially. And do you think he’s helped? That’s right, he’s followed the pattern of every other President, and broke promise after promise making him perfectly fit for the job. He even looks the part. Obama is nothing more than a walking magazine.  $1,500 Hart Schaffner suits and the weekly haircuts at the barbershop. A man that owns 4 exact pairs of each shoe obviously cares about his image.  So what happens when his image get tarnished? He goes to desperate measures to make sure he still looks like the all American presidential candidate. Rumors were spreading that Barrack Hussein Obama was a Muslim. What does he go and do? Kicks the Muslims out of the audience for one of his rallies. That’s right; if he was Muslim there would be Muslims in the audience. But there wasn’t any were there? And finally when he tried to explain that he was not in fact a Muslim, he basically said “I am not a Muslim. So don’t worry your safe with me.” Nowhere in his spiel did he even state that this Islam phobia is wrong. He merely just said “This is just a way to make people suspicious… I have never been a Muslim”

Even with the Islam phobia associated with Obama he still managed to get 64million votes, that means even with the rumor and fear with the white middle class of Obama being a believer of Islam he still managed to get the most votes ever received in American History. That just proves the uncertainty and indecision’s that Americans are faced with when voting for someone to lead them.  Now with all this controversy that Obama was faced with and still won the presidential, I wonder what makes him a great leader. Is it that his views are understood by the general population and agreed by, or is it his clever persona he presents himself with. Why it is that American’s and the world are impressed with Obama’s Campaign. Is it because 3million were just spend on advertising or is it because he was engrained to be a great leader, I mean if he has ties to the CPUSA or better yet known as the Communist Party of the United States of America. A man who strongly believes in a communistic state will obviously try to spread to wealth amongst the rich and poor. Can we as a society be that easily influenced by the media? YES WE CAN.

Sports talk: Greg Oden, More surgeries than Points

Greg Oden last year’s number one pick by the Portland Trailblazers in the 2007-08 season was a huge disappointment. As an uncovered surgery spoiled his plans of playing that season. However with much habilitation and physiotherapy Oden was deemed healthy to play for the starting 2008-09 season, as a rookie.  Starting from a fresh slate Oden was ready to dominate and hopefully win the rookie of the year award. However with only 9minutes into his first NBA game ever, Oden got injured again. Missing out his whole first season last year, Oden is forced to watch his team from the bench once again as he is expected to be out of Portland’s rotation from anywhere from 2-4 weeks.  So far Oden has combined for 12minutes, 4 rebounds and 0 points from his 1 year, 1 game career. Leaving coaching staff to wonder if Oden is Injury prone.
